Door open to the Brazilian market
Clean Steel showcased its know-how in the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association’s (ABTCP) conference, held in Brazil in the end of November. The event, held for the fourteenth time, was hosted by the pulp and paper company Klabin. Clean Steel carried out Klabin’s boiler cleaning last summer.
“With regard to our plans for international growth, we were able to introduce our Smart BlastingTM method to an important audience; the entire industry. Representatives of leading Brazilian pulp and paper industry companies attended the event. Our advantage was, in addition to our successful cooperation with the host company, the proven, direct financial benefits of an efficiently running boiler to Klabin as a result of our project,” tells Janne Laitomaa from Clean Steel.
“Finnish origins and Finland’s strong tradition of forestry and paper industry do not hurt either, quite the contrary,” he adds.
Clean Steel has high expectations. The company intends to strike the potential gap in the market and open an office in Brazil. Janne Laitomaa has committed to serving as Clean Steel’s frontman and promote the company’s international business activities in Brazil for the next six months. Based on the negotiations carried out at the conference, Clean Steel’s position in the Latin American market looks very promising.
“Currently, we have many projects under negotiation. I am convinced that we will be closing several deals already in early 2018,” Laitomaa states.
